Becky has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2011. She is an E-RYT 500 (Experienced Yoga Teacher, 500 Hour) and 85 hour pre-natal yoga teacher and has taught thousands of classes in private, studio, corporate and gym settings to students of all levels.
Becky's first teacher training was in Power Vinyasa in 2011, followed by workshops and trainings with teachers such as Noah Maze, Kathryn Budig, Kino MacGregor, and Richard Freeman. While in India in 2015, Becky completed her 500 hour training in the Tantric lineage, studied Ayurveda in Kerala and spent a week at the Phoolchatti Ashram north of Rishikesh on the Ganges River.
Becky is passionate about anatomy and postural alignment and has had the privilege of completing Anatomy for Yoga Teachers with Shanna Linn, Anatomy Trains with Tom Myers and Chain Reaction Mostability® Biomechanics with the Grey Institute. In 2019, Becky completed her first pre-natal yoga training at Yogaview Chicago, followed by the Well Women Yoga Therapy and Yoga Nidra training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. In 2020, Becky completed an 85 hour pre-natal yoga teacher training accredited through Yoga Alliance at Bloom Yoga in Chicago. After becoming a Mom in 2020, Becky felt inspired to share from personal experience, the strength of yoga as a multi-faceted support system through pregnancy, labor and the years that follow. Becky is a breast cancer survivor and understands the physical and emotional impact that may result from any type of surgery and/or medical treatment. Becky’s approach to yoga is fluid and experience informed, knowing that a steady practice changes over time and molds to any phase of life.
In addition to yoga, Becky loves reading, clipping into her Peloton bike, strength training, Pilates, skiing, cooking, vegetable gardening, and tending to her chickens. Becky lives in Manchester, VT with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
